The Community Recycling Centres by BorlaMan Recycling focuses on the building recycling centres in district assemblies and communities in and around community. These community-recycling centres provide accessibility and improve the convenience associated with recycling.
Borlaman Recycling working in partnership with District/ Municipal/ Metropolitan Assemblies, traditional leaders and other organization continues build Collection and Recycling Centre in various communities around the country.
These centres allow individuals to drop their recyclables for free or for a token. These recyclables are sorted, washed and recycled (shredded) for further processing by the Borlaman and other recyclers. A minimum total of 3,300kg of recyclables are processed (shredded) daily. Each centre has locally manufactured shredder(s), collection and sorting spaces.
The Micro Recycling Centres are also a source of employment for individuals in the community, employing an average of 170 people (directly and indirectly) per community.
